She also organized a concert to raise funds of over $7,000 for a local charity.

Harry Shissler

Harry is our sax player and brings a depth of experience and styles to the GP sound. He's been been living the musical dream 35+ years and highlights of that tour include a stint with the Ellington Orchestra and with 'War' in Tokyo. Harry's philosophy is to experience life from many angles. Perspective (1) career actuary (math geek), perspective (2) the family guy (3) the wicked sax man of Groove Place.

Dave Orehowsky's trumpet playing has been heard in society bands, major Broadway Show tours in Philadelphia including Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera, for PA Lottery recording jingles, in the Jonathan Deme movie Beloved, and in venues throughout the tri-state area for the likes of Mel Torme and Lionel Hampton. In addition to staying busy as a trumpet player he is also a Middle School Band Director. He is a graduate of the Schools of Music at The University of the Arts and West Chester University.

As the primary chart writer for Groove Place, Nick will make your special requests come to life with new and unique arrangements.

David Loomis

Bass

A Philadelphia area musician for more years than he cares to admit, Dave has played through many changes in the musical landscape. Whatever style is called for, laying down the foundation is his main mission. Funky, smooth, swinging or melodic; his solid work allows the band to groove and the party to rock.

Tom Fleming

backbeat

Tom Fleming provides the solid backbeat of Groove Place! His impeccable timing provides the steady, heart driving punch of the band. Tom performed with several top Philadelphia-based wedding bands and continues honing his drumming "chops" recording with various original rock, jazz and blues artists in the Philadelphia area.

Dana Camacho

Guitar

Dana started playing guitar a long time ago. He still hasn't figured out why the strings are backwards on all his right handed guitar since retired for lefty models. He's also our band leader and stresses the importance of Customer Service always!
